在電影曾經。愛是唯一（Once) 的主題曲。電影講述二個歌手的相遇到相知的愛情故事，一起追逐夢想的愛情故事。

這套電影為了增加真實的感覺，二個主角Glen Hansard 和Markéta Irglová 均是職業歌手，在電影裡的有不少現場演唱，都有精彩的演出。雖然他倆不是專業的演員，但卻流露出真摯的感情，電影更傳出他們戲假情真的消息。
